Humpty Dumpty Meets Reductio ad Absurdum--How Christian Rabbits Morph into Mad Hatters

This post is a followup to my previous post, “What Happened When Humpty Dumpty Met the Sons of Gods.”

When I wrote the post, I was setting up a snare to catch Christian rabbits, as they take the bait and travel further down the rabbit hole. In doing so, they are “hoisted by their own petard” as they try to explain away problematic Biblical passages—in this case, Genesis 6:1-4. The Christians claim that Jesus is the only son of god, but then Genesis 6:1-4 states there are “sons of gods” --meaning there are many gods, and many sons of gods! It also implies there are goddesses as well, and that gods and goddesses have sex. This is where Humpty Dumpty semantics comes in, as I want them to admit that the words don't mean what they say they mean—literally. In doing so, they get entangled in a Humpty Dumpty semantic snare, as their explanations can then be turned against them, because now they have provided weight to these explanations that can now be used against them in the case of the Trinity. It leads to an absurd position for the Trinity doctrine and the historic Christian faith as a whole.

Credo House Proves the Bible is Illogical and Inconsistent via the Trinity

In my previous post on the trinity, I PROVED that the Christian conception of Trinity is illogical, and inconsistent with other passages in the Bible, such as Jesus sitting at the right hand side of Yahweh.

In this post, I will go further, and show that this Christian conception of the Trinity is actually based on the Bible, which would mean that the Bible itself is illogical and inconsistent.

Assume what the authors, C. Michael Patton, Th.M. and Tim Kimberley, Th.M from the Credo House say is true in the video below, and in this case, we actually believe they are right. That is, Athanasius, Constantine and the rest of the Nicene Council base their conception of the Trinity on the Bible.

10 Myths about God: #5 - The Trinity was Invented from Credo House on Vimeo.

As I had proven in my last post, the Christian conception of the trinity is illogical and inconsistent with other Bible passages. Now we see that the Christian conception of the Trinity is actually based on the Bible. If the Christian conception of the Trinity is actually based on the Bible, then the Bible itself is illogical and inconsistent. Therefore, the Bible is illogical and inconsistent.

Thanks Credo House--for proving that the Bible is illogical and inconsistent!!

Happy Mother's Day!

In the spirit of Mother's day, I want to thank all of the mothers that love and respect their families, and raise their children to become productive adults in life. Mother goddesses were revered at times in history, and it ironic that the the Abrahamic faiths, which include Christianity, Islam and Judaism, fail to include a mother goddess in their religions.

Recently I wrote a post dealing with the "all male" Christian trinity, and their "all male" creation, i.e. Christians believe that everything was created by a god(s)--without a mother goddess in sight. How strange. Unless of course, the goal was not the eternal salvation of mere mortals--but patriarchal control over women. It would of course be easier for the "men" of god to accomplish this goal, if no credit was/is given to women for creation--or anything else for that matter. How pathetically sad that women have had to suffer for centuries and were viewed as mere property due to these religious teachings, and sad they felt it necessary to kill the mother goddess in favor of patriarchy and promoting a way of life where women were viewed this way.

In memory of the goddess, and the "miracle" of motherhood, I would like to remind people that before patriarchy,Yahweh, like almost all pagan gods, had a consort named Asherah. I have dealt with Asherah in previous posts, (Is the Serpent the Hero? and the Illogical Nature of the Trinity) so this time, I want to show my respect for the various mother goddesses of other pagan religions.

From the Venus of Willendorf (24,000-22,000 BCE) to the Venus of Rome, humanity has worshiped and respected the goddess and the miracle of motherhood--and the goddess and mothers were held in high regard. The religions that held the mother goddess in high regard, were, for the most part, holisitic, and had a holistic view of nature, as compared to the "dominion" view of nature held by those of the Abrahamic faiths.  This "dominion view" has virtually destroyed "Gaia" (mother earth) as opposed to the nurturing, caring view of the matriarchal, holistic religions.

The Abrahamic faiths changed all that, as they view women as mere vessels who do not participate in creation. Since then, women have been demonized and viewed as property and/or second class citizens. It has taken much time and suffering to change those views, and there is still a long way to go, which is why it is not only the loving and caring mothers that I am thankful for. I am also thankful for those who love and respect mothers as human beings who raise and teach children to become productive citizens, as miracles in their own right--instead of falling prey to the Abrahamic philosophy of women being viewed as property, and "useful" to men.

To the givers of life, to the mothers that love and raise their children to become productive adults, and to those that treat these mothers with the respect they deserve, I thank you all. We could never do it without you.
